Stone Acorn Builders is bringing the first Southern Living Showcase Home to Houston in Spring 2012. Ticket proceeds will go to the Houston Read Commission and Friends of Bellaire Library.

Southern Living Showcase Home will be at 5307 Aspen in Bellaire, Texas. Designed by JKM Designs, the 3,971-square-foot floor plan includes four to five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, library and craft room, study, scullery, gardening stand, and outdoor living space. Interior design will be managed by Edwina Alexis Interiors.

Showcase Dates:
Friday through Sunday, April 27-29, 2012
Saturdays and Sundays, May 5-6 and 12-13, 2012

"My sister Sarah and I are excited about building the first Southern Living Showcase Home in Houston proper,” says Stone Acorn Builder’s Benjamin Lavine. “It's going to be a great opportunity to bring the pages of the magazine to life here in Houston. Not only will Houstonians see a Southern Living creation, but they will also be supporting two valuable non- profit organizations."

Houston’s 2012 Southern Living Showcase Home will open to the public in May 2012 for a multi-week program of home tours and special events. Planned activities include book drives, author meet-and-greets, gardening and craft demonstrations, and food and wine events to benefit the designated charities.
