Next Project: Mid-Century Modern

Stone Acorn Builders had the opportunity to rebuild a family’s Meyerland home following the devastating Memorial Day Flood of 2015. With nearly a foot of water in less than 10 hours, the flash floods of the Memorial Day Flood submerged roadways, homes and took the lives of several Houstonians. Unfortunately, the flooding in Houston did not slow down in the following years with the 2016 April Tax Day floods and the most recent record breaking devastation of Hurricane Harvey in 2017. This family was beyond grateful that their rebuilt home survived the most recent flood waters this past August. Unfortunately the homes surrounding did not fare as well, however this home became a refuge for the neighbors along the street. This mid-century modern home, with today’s technology and features, is the perfect new home for this family.
